Oscar Tomosada

About

What’s good y’all, I’m Oscar. I’m a Ryukyu – American Performer/Creative based in NYC. I grew up playing sports in Oakland CA and simultaneously fell in love with Acting, Singing and Dancing. I have worked in Regional Theaters since I was a preteen and have goals to be on Broadway. After graduating. from UCLA, I have expanded my career into film as an Actor, Dancer, Choreographer, Director & Editor. I hope to one day win an Oscar!

On the off-chance you recognize me from something in the entertainment industry, it more than likely from one of two places: Woodminster Summer Musicals or Illumeably. I have worked at Woodminster amphitheater since I was 12 years old and have now performed in 25 of their productions and Choreographed one. Now if you aren’t a part of that niche crowd who enjoys theatre in the Oakland hills, then you must’ve seen me in one of those silly Youtube series with Illumeably. I was actually in one of Illumeably’s first 10 movies, Sick Boy, which has accumulated over a Million views. I have since starred in 10 more of their films and am in a handful more that are currently in post production. I still work with the team at Illumeably so stay posted for new videos coming soon!

I wish I could create as my full time job, but hey, an artist has to pay that NYC rent and fund my own projects, so my also recognize me from one of my survival jobs. I do host the occasional dance class, but you might also recognize me from bartending around city. I used to be the head bartender and later the manager of a cocktail bar in Chelsea known as OUR/NY. Ever since its closing, I have worked some pretty obscure but very fun jobs. One of those being on the Hype Squad of the Staten Island Ferry Hawks. While you watch the game you can catch me dancing, singing, and flapping my wings all while emceeing games and rallying up the crowd. No matter what the work is, I will always try my best while also finding the fun in every situation. If I’m not working, you can find me goofing off in the studio, hiking through nature, going out with friends and family, or meditating on the subway.
